This is a fantastic area!

Cancelada is the closest village with several good restaurants. El Legado is excellent as is the Restaurant by the small roundabout in the village.

​

Benahavis is a well known village which is about 10 minutes drive and there are several excellent Restaurants from which to choose. Alfredo’s is well known and is definitely worth a visit.

​

The beaches are extensive in Spain and Cancelada/Costalita (about 10 minutes away) and Estepona are the nearest ones.
Marbella Old Town is situated approximately 25 minutes away with the famous Orange Square and some interesting and varied local shops that surround it.

​

Puerto Banus is about 20 mins away where nightlife is excellent, beautiful boats surround the harbour area and there are many excellent Fish and Meat Restaurants.  Why not start off in Sinatra’s for a drink and celebrity spotting and then head along the front of the harbour to one of the local Restaurants.  We can recommend Azul Marinos just along from Sinatras, Jacks is always popular for families - but there really are so many we are sure you will find your own favourites!

If you have time, do visit the market in Puerto Banus on a Saturday morning.  It is well known and is based in Central Plaza near the Bull Ring.

​

Gibraltar is also worth a visit to see the monkeys as well as the caves which you can get to by either cable car or car.  Be prepared though for a long wait at the borders unless you are prepared to walk across and remember to take your passport.

​

Further afield, Casares is a beautiful white village with stunning views.  If you have time, visit Tarifa which is further on from Gibraltar about an hour and a half away - it is the Kite Surfing centre of Europe and there is a beautiful stretch of beach and very much a hippy chic vibe to the area.  Favourite places to stay are the Punta Sur, 100% fun, Hurricane Hotel or Dos Mares.

Heading the other way, Granada with the Alhambra Palace is a wonderful sight, or take the train from Malaga to Madrid for a real adventure.
